Povides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, community referrals, and nutritious supplemental foods for eligible pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5. WIC can help families get healthy foods and connect to healthcare and other services. 

Caregiver services are available to informal or family caregivers of persons over the age of 60 or to grandparents raising grandchildren.

Services can include respite care (services that give caregivers a rest), home modification, assistive devices, transportation, and financial assistance.

Provides warm or cold weather clothing to individuals who are displaced, victims of unexpected misfortune, in need of immediate help, or lacking resources to buy clothing.

Offers to link individuals with brain injuries to support groups around the state and provide encouragement and emotional support to survivors of brain injury and their families. Senior centers provide a place for congregate meals, as well as social activities, games, educational programs, etc.

Maintains emergency management activities including planning, preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation for Whiteside County. Also serves as the central point of contact for receiving reports of incidents that occur within the county and for disseminating emergency-related information. Emergency preparedness and recovery resources are available for natural hazards such as droughts, earthquakes, floods, large-scale fires, tornadoes, and winter storms. As well as man-made hazards such as civil disorder incidents, hazardous material incidents, major transportation accidents, nuclear power plant accidents, pollution and sanitation problems, and terrorism incidents.

- For residents of Wymore, calls for home delivered meals must be made to the Beatrice Senior Center, at (402) 223-3055 or the main office at (402) 223-1376.

- For residents of Palmyra, calls for home delivered meals must be made to the Syracuse Senior Center, at (402) 269-2957.

- For residents of Nebraska City, home delivered meals must be arranged through the city's Meals on Wheels program.

Provides a variety of classes and support groups including Diabetes education, Maternity/Maternity classes and support, and hospice support groups.

Offers advocacy, complaint investigation, information, and assistance for individuals living in long-term care facilities and Medicaid managed care members receiving long-term services and supports, including those enrolled in Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver programs. Helps individuals understand their rights, resolve concerns, navigate grievances and appeals, and access information about long-term care options. Services are confidential and free of charge.

Offers a program for parents and youth individuals ages 10-14 to work together and build relationships. Participants will practice skills, play learning games, and do family projects in highly interactive sessions.
