Detects and respond to emerging threats, including influenza outbreaks, food borne illnesses, and biological terrorist events. Includes the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), which supports community efforts to utilize local medical and health volunteers during emergencies and at other times of community need.

Provides engineering and design of County roadway projects, including local resurfacing and bridge replacement. The division is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the County Secondary Road System, including ditch cleaning, roadway surface repairs, bridge and culvert repairs, and snow removal.

Offers a trauma informed environment for young adult men ages 10-18, must be referred by DCFS and DJJ heal from past trauma and develop life skills. Daily activities include celebrating holidays and birthdays, fitness groups and sports, fishing, arts and crafts, support groups, anger management, and off campus activities.

Centralia Residential - Provides mental health treatment for young adult women ages 15.5-17.5. 

Provides information about rights and responsibilities for tenants and landlords. Offers advocacy and referrals to resources on behalf of tenants in Champaign County experiencing rental issues such as neglected property maintenance, disputes about damage deposit deductions, evictions, unlawful discrimination, violations of lease by landlord, tenant rights under state and local laws. Services may also provide a monthly "Low-Cost Housing List" which provides contact information for the local Housing Authority, privately-owned subsidized housing, and small number of other options. 

Warming centers open across the community when daytime temperatures are frigid.

All warming centers open in below-freezing temperatures and officially issued weather advisories and warmings, or when wind chills are below freezing. Open to the public with the only exception being personal ban/barres from a facility. Service and emotional support animals are welcome.

Provides accurate information on adoption, and lifelong support, so the family is successful in meeting the child’s best interest by offering the following services and resources:

Provides free and confidential pregnancy counseling for families, every step of the way; before, during, and after the birth of the child.

Assistance with making an adoption plan or parenting plan.

Parenting education. Support and education for baby's father on request.

Home studies for prospective adoptive parents.

Newborn care home for baby as a safe haven.

Provides guidance and assistance for students who are suspended, expulsion eligible or expelled from the general education setting. Programs including the attendance improvement matters, provides direct services to students that will assist them in overcoming economic barriers that interfere with school attendance. Also offers a bridges program, that includes a full-time educational option for students who wish to catch up to a grade level or retrieve missed credits due to poor school attendance. 

Provides financial help with heating and electric bills. Applications are accepted starting October 1st through August 15th or when funding is exhausted.

October is a priority period reserved for elderly, disabled, families with children 5 and under, and disconnected households. The general population can apply starting November 1st.

This program is not designed to pay a household's total energy costs. The amount of the benefit is based on number in the household, the 30-day income of the household and the source of heat. This is a one-time payment to the household's energy provider.

Offers medical equipment for rent and or purchase. It can be delivered to the home, or if necessary, delivered to the patient's hospital room or extended care facility. For convenience, patients or family members may pick up equipment.

• Respiratory Modalities - including pulse oximetry, suction machines, and heavy duty compressors.
• Pediatrics - including nebulizers, trach care, and phototherapy.
• Ventilators - including specialized supplies, clinical respiratory instruction and consultation, and tracheostomy supplies.
• Sleep Program - including BiPAP, CPAP, compliance studies, and specialized supplies.
• Apnea Program - including Healthdyne, Edentac, Edentac II studies, and specialized supplies.
• Enteral Therapy - including food pumps, food supplements, and specialized supplies.
• Durable Medical Equipment - including electric beds, wheelchairs, CPM, walkers, canes and more.

Offers a comprehensive medical facility in the Champaign-Urbana community, offering a full scope of inpatient and outpatient services. Also offers an inpatient rehabilitation center, featuring facilities for physical, occupational, and speech therapy, the Presence Center for Healthy Aging, and the Adult Behavioral Health Unit.

Provides free tax credit clinics and prepares free federal and state income taxes for low to moderate income households.

When scheduling an appointment, choose a site location and date. All location will be face-to-face; virtual preparation is available in addition to facilitated self-assistance (schedule an appointment under the 'Need Assistance' tab).

If Lincoln Public School and/or UNL is closed due to bad weather, all VITA sites are closed.

The scope of work that can be done within the VITA site is defined by the IRS. If a return is considered "out of scope" for the site, VITA Volunteers will not be able to prepare the return.

Provides early childhood education that meets the needs of all children and families. The focus of the program is to prepare students for future academic success.

Works to help individuals, including those facing significant employment barriers, secure and retain high-quality jobs. The program assists people in finding employment, funds training when needed to gain or retain a position, and provides assistance in obtaining work permits or official documentation required for work authorization.

The Adult Program serves people who are at least 18 years old and, if applicable, registered for Selective Service. The Dislocated Worker Program serves individuals registered for Selective Service who have lost their jobs and meet dislocated worker categories defined in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

The Youth Program serves in-school youth (ages 14-21) and out-of-school youth (ages 16-24) who need assistance with training or education to enter the workforce successfully, with a focus on young people facing barriers to success. This includes government-subsidized summer employment programs that provide job opportunities in the public and private sectors during the summer months. Registration for these summer opportunities occurs during a spring application period.

Offers a program that is a structured, theoretically based approach to therapy that builds on the normal communicative and learning processes of children. Therapists use this method to help children express what is troubling them when they do not have the verbal language to express their thoughts and feelings.

- Carbon monoxide detectors.

- Annual battery replacements.

- Lock boxes (allows emergency access into home without forced entry; in conjunction with City of Batavia Fire Department).

Provides and administers the Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program for existing housing. This program subsidizes the rent of eligible participants who live in approved, privately owned housing. This program requires application.

Offers the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program which is a voluntary program designed to teach families how to utilize community resources in order to achieve independence and self-sufficiency through education and job training. All Housing Choice Voucher recipients are eligible to participate in the FSS program.

Offers Housing Counseling, Menard County Housing Authority serves as a HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agency. Offers pre- and post-purchase counseling, credit and budget assistance, credit reports, mortgage delinquency, renter’s assistance, fair housing assistance, loss mitigation, and relocation assistance.
