WARMING/COOLING CENTER/SHELTER TRANSPORTATION, all rides are free to anyone wanting to get to a warming/cooling center or homeless shelter during an emergency declared weather event. Bus routes information can be found at www.ridedart.com or check the list of warming/cooling centers as they have the corresponding bus route the caller would need to take to get to that particular warming/cooling center. Anyone requiring PARATRANSIT may call 515-283-8105 to request a ride. Riders are asked to consult schedules or the MyDART Trip Planner available on ridedart.com and through the MyDART App to locate the next bus nearest them. The can also contact Customer Service with questions about this service. The number to contact is 515-283-8100. For calls after 7 pm, riders are asked to contact 515-283-8108.

For Christmas 2025, Toy Assistance and Meal Box Registration is Nov 17-18, 2025, from 10 am-12 pm and 1 pm-3 pm. Toy assistance is limited to 600 children, ages 0-12. Bring photo ID, proof of address, proof of household size, and proof of children's birthdates.
