Provides pregnancy and prenatal services to expecting mothers. Services include free pregnancy testing, care for high-risk pregnancies, prenatal exams and pregnancy care, in-hospital labor and delivery, in-hospital newborn care, ultrasounds, childbirth classes, health benefits enrollment, diagnostic testing, and laboratory testing.

CDs, movies, and video games may also be available in addition to traditional print reference materials.

Commodities are delivered every other month (January, March, May, July, September, and November) at these three locations.

Offers SERVSAFE® classes for food service professionals, providing comprehensive training on food hazards, proper food handling practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure food safety and prevent foodborne-illness outbreaks. 

Provides property assessment, property value information, Homestead, Veteran and Family Farm Credit sign up.

Offers financial assistance for Indianola residents once a year for rent or their IMU utility bill. 

Offers to work with surrounding communities and businesses to develop procedures and preparations in the case of an emergency or disaster. Services may also include information regarding ema weather briefings, alerts and warnings, local emergency planning committee information and links, emergency alerts, emergency planning, hazmat ordinance, current emergencies, preparedness, mitigation planning, and floodplain management. 

Provides housing counseling on the topics of pre-purchase home buyer education, budget and credit workshops and counseling, post-purchase counseling, repairs for homes, delinquency and foreclosure prevention counseling.

Provides licenses for foster homes, day care centers, and institutions.

Offers public housing options and Section 8 vouchers.

Provides care and supervision in a protective setting for adults with age-related disabilities during the daytime hours. Includes transportation from and to home in Waterloo/Cedar Falls and Evansdale area.

Provides food, cleaning supplies, paper supplies, laundry detergent, and toothpaste for low income and needy persons in the Durant and Wilton school districts. Visits allowed up to twice per moth. Donations are welcome.
