Provides a free sack lunch to low-income families. Lunches are delivered to serving sites Mon-Fri between 11:45 am-12:30 pm.

- Squaw Creek Mobile Home Park, 6201 Hennessey Parkway, Marion.

- Novak Elementary, 401 29th Street, Marion.

- Wilkins Elementary, 2127 27th Street, Marion.

- Lindale Manor Mobile Home Park, 400 Lindale Drive, Marion.

- Marion Community Center.

- Boys and Girls Club of Marion.

Provides a source of education, advocacy and support to the public and the health profession about the causes and prevention. Products and services: Audio/visual, programs, books, educational leaflets, and/or referral service. Does not provide samples of incontinence supplies or any type of financial assistance.

Offers Child Care Expense Assistance through the Iowa Department of Human services is available to the children of income-eligible parents who are absent for a portion of the day due to employment or participation in academic or vocational training or PROMISE JOBS activities. Assistance may also be available for a limited period of time to the children of a parent looking for employment. APPLY TO BE A REGISTERED CHILD CARE PROVIDER. Provides legal services in order to help with elder abuse. Services include helping with financial exploitation, guardianship of adults to ensure health care, nursing home and home care issues, powers of attorney and other advance directives, and SSI and social security denials, cessations, terminations, overpayments, and garnishments.

Maintains county parks and recreation areas and provides hunter safety classes, camping, fishing and boating information. Outdoor recreational opportunities are available through county parks and outdoor wildlife areas.

Produce and bakery items are rescued from local grocers and are available Mon-Fri based on supply.  Items are free to anyone in the community and may be accessed on a daily basis.

Offers workshops that teach individuals and families how to get more out of money and how to save money for financial goals. This is a series of workshops that are a blend of instruction and hands on activities so each concept can be mastered. 

Provides help to veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless due to financial hardship, unemployment, addiction, depression, or transition from jail. Services include immediate food and shelter needs, including both transitional and permanent housing, job training, life skills development, and education, financial support to prevent homelessness, addiction and depression treatment, health and dental care, and justice system navigation and community reentry from jail.

Provides the opioid reversal drug, Narcan (Naloxone), to those in need. Narcan is a nasal spray that can restore breathing during an opioid overdose.

Community action agency.

Intensive case management for those in need of mental health and/or substance abuse services.

Provides individuals with developmental disabilities to live in a natural home setting with the security of 24-hour supervision/assistance. Offering hands-on life experiences for clients in the areas of daily living including shopping, cooking, personal care, community access, finances, medication, and greater independence.

Community college.

GED preparation and testing.

ESL - English as a Second language classes.

Adult basic education, including literacy, job seeking, and life skills education.

Citizenship preparation.

Tutors available in various locations in the Panhandle.

Single parent / displaced homemaker program provides career counseling, dependent care, non-traditional training, skills training, technology training, books and tuition, personal counseling, support groups, and transportation. Contact a student services advisor for information.

Veterans Upward Bound programs offer intensive basic skills development and short-term remedial courses for military veterans to help them successfully transition to post-secondary education.

Provides Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) tailored to each client’s needs.
