INTENSIVE PRE-TRIAL RELEASE (all counties) RELEASE WITH SERVICES (all counties)is a pre-trial program supervising people while on pre-trial release, including electronic monitoring. Also deals with issues of employment, housing, education, substance abuse, and more.

Offers the Financial Assistance project through the Des Moines Register that is administered by Community Action Agencies in the state and is only accessible during a certain time frame each year. Incomplete applications will not be accepted for consideration.

Applications will be accepted around December 1 of each year and will close at the end of January.

Babies Nest is an incentive program to earn free baby items by scheduling regular pregnancy visits, maintaining healthy behaviors, and attending educational parenting classes. Must be enrolled in the program by the 7th month of pregnancy. H.O.P.E.S. (Healthy Opportunities for Parents to Experience Success) is a home visitation program for pregnant women, parents of newborns, and other families with children ages birth to 5.

Offers a rental facility for birthday parties, family reunions or organization meetings. Services may also include a variety of meeting room spaces, as well as two dining rooms available for public rental. The Grand Ballroom located on the second floor of the building provides a space for wedding receptions and large dinner gatherings for up to 200 people. 

Provides animal adoption, rabies tag registration of all dogs and cats, consultations on animal bites, low cost spay or neuter services, adoption of stray cats and dogs in shelter, microchipping, vaccinations, information regarding lost pets. Adoption counselors may be available to assist with adoptions, answer questions about the adoption application, schedule an animal visit, purchase rabies tags, and to make a payment for donation.

Provides public services related to court proceedings and maintains records of all court records. This office receives, files, and maintains all of the documentation that comprises the official court record for the following case types: felonies; misdemeanors, traffic violations, ordinance violations, civil, family, or paternity court cases, juvenile injunctions, restraining orders, and small claims court cases. The Clerk of Court is responsible for the collection of case related fees, fines and forfeitures, case management and event tracking, budget planning, records management, courtroom operation support, jury management, and facility planning.

This office issues copies of divorce decrees for divorces granted in the county court and provides assistance and necessary forms needed to file a petition with the court for a legal name change.

Also provides a resource for County residents who choose to represent themselves in court or have questions on divorce, child custody, paternity, grandparent rights. Information on legal fees and costs for hiring attorneys is also available.

Helps senior citizens, who might otherwise need nursing home care, to remain in their own homes by providing in-home and community-based services. Services include:

- Comprehensive care coordination.

- Adult day services.

- In-home services (cleaning, meals, laundry, shopping/running errands, and personal hygiene).

- Emergency home response service.

- Automated medication dispenser service.

Provides transportation services on demand to those in need. Service provided is a curb to curb service throughout Henry, Stark and Western Bureau Counties. All rides must begin and end in Henry County. 

1st Five aims to increase developmental screening in primary care practices and has a referral system to support children identified as at-risk for developmental delays. 1st Five works with pediatric and family care providers to help link families to the resources and support services their child needs.

180 Men's Residential Recovery provides residential services to men recovering from addiction and/or chronic homelessness. Additional services include: Christian counseling, character-focused bible study classes, and assistance in obtaining a GED.

Hope House: Transitional housing for graduates of the 180 Men’s Residential Recovery Program who need additional time for recovery.

Provides recreational and educational before and after school activities =for children Pre K through 4th grade. 

Guides families through their child’s journey with a medical condition. Works with doctors, schools and community groups to create a seamless support system.

Care coordination team works together with families to develop a plan of care that addresses a child’s medical, social, behavioral, educational and financial needs. Care coordination is free for all children who have eligible medical conditions, regardless of their family’s income level.

Care coordination can include finding specialized medical care, helping families understand their child’s diagnosis and medical treatment plan, explaining insurance benefits and attending school meetings.

Helps children who are medically fragile remain in their family home rather than a hospital or skilled nursing facility.

Assists with:

- Finding specialized medical care

- Attending IEP /504 Plan school meeting

- Connecting families with financial support, grants and other community resources

Provides services to the judiciary, community, and offenders. Using a community corrections approach improves public safety by enforcing court orders while providing services to juvenile and adult offenders to aid in their rehabilitation.

Prepares and serves an average of 250 sack lunches each weekday, provided free of charge to anyone who requests one.
