Outpatient assessments, referrals, intensive outpatient treatment, and peer support related to substance use. Through these interventions, the client with a substance abuse issue learns their issues are not unique and can be addressed. Family and loved ones are also taught coping skills to assist them in supporting the user build a healthier lifestyle.

Level I Outpatient Therapy provides professionally directed evaluation, treatment and recovery services for individuals experiencing a substance use disorder. Treatment services are provided in group or individual sessions or a combination of both, depending on an individual’s needs. Treatment typically lasts 12 weeks.

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a group-focused, non-residential program for adults 19 and older. IOP is more in-depth than traditional outpatient treatment services, offering a minimum of 10 hours of treatment per week. IOP typically lasts six to eight weeks. Intensive groups meet for three-hour sessions, three days a week. Each participant must also attend at least one additional individual or family session each week. Services are available days and evenings.

Substance Use Evaluations are specialized assessments used to clinically determine possible substance use issues, with recommendations for an appropriate level of care if determined to be medically necessary.

Provides an Urgent Care Clinic in the hospital. Offers to evaluate, treat and provide immediate healthcare services. The Family Medicine providers are available for follow-up care as needed and for preventive wellness appointments.

Provides an environmental health program that completes retail food, temporary or mobile food, septic, and well inspections. The program also inspects larvicide, West Nile Virus, and Tobacco with the Smoke-Free Illinois Act. Services include new construction or remodel consultations for retail food establishments, food establishment, retail food store permits and inspections, temporary and mobile food permits, food-borne illness complaints and investigations, offer private water well sample kits, water well permits for new and modified wells, private sewage disposal investigation, inspection, and consultation, sewage permits for private sewage disposal systems, nuisance complaint investigation, collection of dead birds for testing during season, WNV prevention, trapping, collection, and testing of specimens, larvicide application, tanning and body art facility inspections, and public health emergency preparedness.

Provides property assessment, property value information, Homestead, Veteran and Family Farm Credit sign up.

Provides a collection of books, videos, and books on tape along with public internet access, a photocopier and fax capabilities. 

Provides non-perishable food items and donated fresh produce, when available once per month. Bread available daily as food rescue allows.

Offers hiking and more. Located two miles south of Baldwin on County Road. Hiking, fishing, picnicking and camping facilities are all available. The Nature Center is maintained a full-time DNR Board resident staff member and scheduled nature lectures are held at the Center. The Eden Valley Nature Center is open to the general public on Saturdays from 1pm-4pm May-October. Displays include: live snakes, a wildlife diorama, a rock collection, and several taxidermy displays.

Offers a clothing closet with sizes from infant to XXXL for those in need.

RSVP volunteers serve in a diverse range of nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and faith-based groups. Volunteers perform a variety of valuable services such as mentor at-risk youth, organize neighborhood watch programs, teach English to immigrants, and lend their business skills to community groups to provide critical social services.

Other volunteer opportunities are available at Senior Services Associates, including Elgin & South Elgin Neighbor to Neighbor Program, Long-Term Care Volunteer Ombudsman Program, Senior Companion Program, Senior Home Repair Assistance Program, Senior Medicare Patrol Projects, and the Transportation Program.

Offers a food pantry delivery service to the greater Polk County area in the Des Moines, IA metropolitan area. For delivery services individuals must call and provide basic information about their household to receive food.  Requests for delivery are taken on a first-come first-serve basis. Individuals requesting a delivery must call from Mon-Wed 9 am-12 pm, and all orders are delivered on Thursdays. 

Provides access to books, movies, downloadable e-books, music and magazines, computers with internet access, and countless additional resources. Onsite services also include printing, copying and faxing, computer classes, as well as programs and events for all ages.

Provides educational trainings in the areas of prevention, intervention, and post-vention. Trainings specific to Native populations are available.

Provides public transportation for individuals unable to use regular transit services. Buses are accessible for individuals using wheelchairs and other mobility devices. Individuals must have a DMT ID card that allows individuals to pay reduced fare for DMT services.
