Stopping Woman Abuse Now (SWAN) - Olney
Provides for women and families experiencing homelessness dormitory-styled rooms with bunk beds, so they are intended to be a shared space, a common dining area, living room, and outdoor areas for recreation. A full-time cook is on staff to provide two hot meals each day, and breakfast is a serve-yourself cold meal. Clients can stay at our shelter for up to 45 days.

National Safe Haven Alliance
Promotes safe alternatives for parents in crisis pregnancy situations in every state.
The 24-hour crisis hotline provides support and direction for parents and providers regarding the Safe Haven law, including Safe Surrender locations, adoption resources, and parenting support. Also provides direct resources to assist and prevent infant abandonment. The crisis hotline is staffed by trained professionals who are able to support and assist parents and providers.

Remedies Renewing Lives
Offers outpatient and intensive outpatient substance use disorder services, including group and individual counseling and medication-assisted recovery. Methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone), and naltrexone (Vivitrol) are available.
START program for individuals who are pregnant or post-partum, providing doula services and peer support.

WIC helps meet the nutritional needs through health and nutrition assessments and education, food vouchers to participating stores, and breastfeeding support. Many working families as well as those who receive SNAP benefits also qualify for WIC services.
Also provides Nurse Case Managers that help income eligible women and their children to obtain healthcare services. Also provides other assistance they may need to have a healthy pregnancy, and promote the child’s healthy development.
